Sanju Samson makes comeback, set to the captain Indian side


India A squad announced three-match series against New Zealand A team and Sanju Samson will lead the Indian team.

BCCI announced that 16 members squad includes some big names from IPL. Prithvi Shaw, Rituraj Gaikwad, Kuldeep Yadav, Navdeep Saini, Umar Malik allrounder Raj Angad Bawa who was the star performer in the recent U19 World Cup which was played in the Caribbean also included in the squad.

Sanju Samson is not part of the India squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup which will be played in Australia.

The 26-year-old right-handed batter had played 6 One Day Internationals for India and 130 runs came out of his bat at an average of 43.33. Sanju has brilliant IPL 2022 taking his team Rajasthan Royals to finals. In IPL he scored 450 plus runs from 17 innings. Also, he kept the wickets and captained the side.

Wicket Kipper Batsman with refined technique made his first-class debut for Kerala later he played for India in U19 World Cup and was the most run-getter for the team.

Samson’s game hasn’t gone up the way it should have been, considering his natural talent, but he has to make most of the opportunity coming his way.

All three matches will be played at the M A Chidambaram Stadium Chennai starting on 22 September and the second and third matches will be played on 25th and 27th September respectively.
