Ravindra Jadeja Ruled Out Of Bangladesh ODIs

Indian Cricket Team is all set to clash against Bangladesh on 04th December for a 3 Match ODI Series. The Men in Blue are also slated to play a 2 Test Match Series too. This ODI Series is extremely important for Bangladesh as they are going through turmoil. The Bangladeshi Tigers have a point to prove as a lot of experts are questioning their preparation after their ODI series defeat against Zimbabwe.

India on the other hand would be aiming to find an ideal combination for the next year’s ICC ODI Cricket World Cup 2023. This ODI Series is not a part of World Super League points but from now onwards each ODI would be pivotal to building a team for the marquee event.

Ravindra Jadeja Out of ODI Series

Ravindra Jadeja is ruled out of the ODI Series against Bangladesh as he is yet to recover from a knee injury that ruled him out of the  ICC T20 World Cup 2022. His injury is a huge blow for the team as he is someone who can contribute in all the 3 departments of the game and is quite lethal.

Former Chief Selector Chetan Sharma had mentioned clearly that Ravindra Jadeja’s inclusion would be subject to fitness. The Men in Blue would be hoping that Jadeja is fit for the Test Series which is scheduled to begin on 14th December and the 2nd Test on 22nd December.

Great Chance for Youngsters

It is assumed that Shahbaz Ahmed would replace Ravindra Jadeja for the ODI Series. Shahbaz had made his debut against South Africa in the recently concluded ODI Series and was quite spot-on with his line and length. The all-rounder has shown that he can be the partnership breaker for the team.

Head Coach Rahul Dravid & Skipper Rohit Sharma would be worried as Jadeja is a vital cog in the team. It won’t be wrong to say that Axar Patel is filling the shoes of Jadeja as we saw how Axar performed in T20 World Cup 2022. It would be interesting to see how the ODI Series pans out as India is visiting Bangladesh after 2015.
