Pakistan Ex Captain Rashid Latif Says

Virat Kohli’s performance in cricket has been a great topic of discussion for a long time. Many national and international former players are commenting on the star batsman of the Indian cricket team. Now one more comment has come out.

In Asia Cup 2022 Virat has been the leading run scorer for the Indian team. He made 35 runs against Pakistan and was unbeaten on 58 versus Hong Kong.

Kohli’s supporters will be glad to see their star is at least back among the runs especially after being criticized for his poor form. In the shortest format of the game, Kohli had 31 half-centuries to his name. Former Pakistan skipper Rashid Latif has criticized Kohli, stating he is not a “great” T20 player and would never be as good as Rohit Sharma or Suryakumar Yadav.

Kohli is often compared with players like Kane Williamson, Joe Root, and Steve Smith but none of these greats are match winners in the T20 format.

All these players play the sheet anchor role brilliantly, stable the innings and take the team forward making them outstanding one-day international players.

After losing captaincy in ODI and T20 formats Kohli’s batting form had deteriorated, his last international century came almost 3 years ago.

While Rashid had made a notable statement but Virat’s staggering record tells a different story. Indian run-machine Kohli had set very high standards for himself so all fans have unending expectations from him.

Rasid also claims that the right-hander is one of the main reasons behind Royal Challenger Bangalore’s (RCB) failure to win the IPL title in the year.

Regardless of all the negative criticism, all the cricket fans are eagerly waiting to see his electrifying performance once again on the field. We wish him the best the future tournaments and will be waiting for his next 100.
