The first Test between Bangladesh and India is currently underway at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram and the second Test is set to be played from December 22 to 26 at Shere Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur.

India captain Rohit was ruled out of the first Test due to a thumb injury he sustained while fielding in the slip cordon in the second ODI of the three-match series against Litton Das & Co.
Reports have emerged that Rohit has recovered, is fully fit to compete, and will return to action in the second Test. Meanwhile, questions about the player he would replace have already triggered a debate among fans. Notably, KL Rahul opened the innings alongside Shubman Gill in the first Test in the absence of Rohit.
I am guessing one bowler less and one batsman added in – Wasim Jaffer
During a discussion on ESPNCricinfo, former India National Cricket Team opening batsman Jaffer opined that a bowler will make way for fit-again Rohit. The 44-year-old said:
“It’s an old saying that when the batters don’t perform, the bowlers get dropped. So, I am guessing one bowler less and one batsman added in. We’ll see that one spinner might be less and Rohit Sharma might make way for one of the bowlers “
Notably, Gill would have easily been dropped from the playing XI with the return of Rohit, but the Punjab-born batter smashed a brilliant century in the third innings of the first Test, which has made it a difficult task for the team management to drop him. Also, the team management would not drop Rahul, who is leading India in the first Test against Bangladesh.
