Indian Cricket Team is all set to clash against Bangladesh in the 2nd Test Match at Dhaka on Thursday (22nd December). The Men in Blue would be eager to register a dominating win after a hard-fought 1st Test. The former skipper Virat Kohli was a bit scratchy in the 1st innings.
Bangladeshi Tigers have a golden opportunity to win a Test Match against India. The way they showed fight in the 2nd innings was quite remarkable. The hosts need to make sure that they stick to the crease and score at least 350 runs while batting first.
Allan Donald On Virat Kohli
Allan Donald was having an interaction with reporters and was asked about Virat Kohli. “They are prized wickets… aren’t they? It’s like bowling to Tendulkar… you know when that man walks out to bat, the value of getting it right is absolutely paramount. So when the great Virat Kohli steps up and you miss a chance against him, you are going to suffer. Because they don’t give many chances after that. I thought we have been very good against him and against KL.” said Allan Donald.
“I think you just feel the presence when these players walk to the crease. It’s like bowling to real lava. All of a sudden, the temperature in the building just goes up. For me, nothing changes tomorrow. I know that Virat is hungry and he wants to leave this Test series with a hundred up his belt.” he added.
Exciting Contest on Cards
The Men in Blue would be well aware of the fact that they cannot take Bangladesh lightly as the way Bangladeshi Tigers made a comeback in the 2nd innings of the 1st Test match was quite commendable. Skipper KL Rahul needs to be among the runs as every time the middle-order batters won’t bail out the team.
Bangladesh would be hoping that Litton Das & Mushfiqur Rahim bat according to their credentials. There are chances that Mehidy Hasan gets a promotion as the batter could be the X factor for the team. It would be interesting to see how the 2nd Test Match pans out as India desperately need a win to stay in the race of WTC 2021-23 final
