The dashing left-handed batter Ishan Kishan struck a staggering double century against Bangladesh where he shook the World Cricket. The batter has shown immense striking ability and has made a case for himself at the top of the order as he is expected to be the next big thing in Indian Cricket.
Indian Cricket Team’s slow batting approach has hurt them a lot. Experts like Michael Vaughan believe that the team is playing old-school cricket and has termed that one of the reasons for their failure in ICC events. The Men in Blue would be keen to end the drought of the ICC tournaments as India hasn’t won an ICC event since 2013.
Ishan Kishan Interacts with a fan
Ishan Kishan had an awkward moment with a fan. “Mahi bhai (MS Dhoni) ka hai signature and Mai unke Signature ke Uppar kaise karskata hoon. Abhi ham utna Pahuchne nahi hai wahan par. Ham Nichhe kardete hai. Theek hai.” said Ishan Kishan.

Conundrum for Management
The way Ishan Kishan dismantled Bangladeshi attack, it would be very hard for the selection panel to ignore him. The batter is someone who can not only make the power-play count but play a long and effective innings. It would be interesting to see whether Shikhar Dhawan is dropped as he hasn’t been amongst the runs.
Head Coach Rahul Dravid will have a strenuous task on hands as India will have to stick to one combination rather than frequently chopping and changing. India is all set to play 3 Match ODI Series against Sri Lanka in January 2023. That series would be a grueling one as Sri Lanka is making some huge strides.
