All the matches will be played in Mirpur. The series then moves on to the Test series with the first Test in Chattogram between December 14-18. Both teams return to Mirpur again for the last and final Test between December 22-26.

The two teams have played against each other in 11 Tests, 36 ODIs, and 11 T20Is. The Tigers have never beaten India in a Test match. In ODIs, the Men in Blue have won 30 matches while the Tigers have just five games. One of those wins was in the 2007 ODI World Cup which back then was a big upset.

All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has been included in India’s squads for their upcoming tour of Bangladesh. Ravindra Jadeja had missed out on theT20 World Cup 2022 with a knee injury that required surgery. He has now been included in both the Test and ODI squads for the tour which will start with the ODI series on December 4 and is scheduled to end with the second Test on December 26.

Meanwhile, Hardik Pandya has been rested from the ODI squad against Bangladesh. Hardik Pandya is set to lead the Men in Blue in their away T20I series against New Zealand that will take place on the date after the T20 World Cup 2022. Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, and captain Rohit Sharma have been rested for the New Zealand tour but all three will return for the entirety of the Bangladesh tour.

The tour will also see Deepak Chahar in action as the pacer was included in the ODI squad of both the New Zealand and Bangladesh series. Rajat Patidar, who received his maiden international call-up for the series against South Africa earlier this month, has also been included in the ODI set-up. Rajat Patidar was not able to make his debut during the home series against South Africa but is likely to get his shot against Bangladesh.

For ODIs, Rohit Sharma leads the side, which seems to be a good mix of youth and experience, including a fair amount of first-team players as well as youngsters. In the batting, Virat Kohli, Shikhar Dhawan, KL Rahul, and Shreyas Iyer have been included. The experienced names will be joined by some fresh faces Rahul Tripathi and Rajat Patidar. Two wicketkeepers – Rishabh Pant and Ishan Kishan – have been included.

On the bowling front, Mohammed Shami, Mohammed Siraj, and Shardul Thakur lend experience, with Deepak Chahar for company. There is also the presence of a new face in Yash Dayal, the left-arm quick who represented Gujarat Titans in the IPL this year. Among spinners, Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, and Washington Sundar have been included.
